Sponsor a Singer!

This March, the Chorus will be traveling to Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana as a part of our annual Spring Break tour. During this tour, we will be performing in a variety of concerts, organizing workshops for high school choral groups, and participating in local festivals. In addition to allowing us to hone our musicality, master our repertoire and bond as a group, touring also allows the Chorus to share our music with new audiences and to continue advancing women’s choral repertoire.

Providing transportation, lodging and meals for 50 women while on tour, however, is a significant expense for the Chorus, despite the revenue we acquire from concerts on tour. Historically, touring is by far the Chorus's largest annual expense, and as a nonprofit student organization, we rely heavily on the generous donations from alumnae, friends, family, and members of the community to make these opportunities possible.

You can help sponsor a singer on tour by making a donation to the Cornell University Chorus. Listed below are some of the expenses that factor into the cost of sending one Chorus woman on tour:

A seat on the plane - $400+

A seat on the bus - $200

A stay at the hotel - $100

A place at dinner - $20

Your donations would greatly alleviate the financial burden tour creates and would also allow the Chorus to continue the tradition of bringing our music to new audiences.
